I saw Dr. O when my GI Dr. Brophy retired. Just at that time I developed some horrible symptoms interfering with my Colostomy. I was told they had no emergency appointments and I had to wait3 weeks before I was seen by Dr. Ordondez. He walked in and introduced himself and asked how I was. I said "I'm mad and I'm scared to death". He gave me no chance to explain my meaning and instantly proceeded ball me out, actually, berate me up one side and down the other about how rude I was being and how he spent hours working late to get people seen, etc. When I tried to explain he started all over again, plus continued to list all the possible horrible things that could happen because of my Crohn's Disease, which I already knew from Dr. Brophy. All this at a time when I was literally scared to death. Now who's upset did he care about...mine or his???? After that I was seen by his PA with good care but since I'd be followed by him I moved to a different provider as soon as I could.

Dr. Ordonez was well educated and extremely caring. I went in to see him due to chronic pain I had been having for over 5 years. Dr. Ordonez was caring and took all the time I needed and did not rush through the appointment. He was very caring and knowledgeable. After the tests he ran, he personally called me on the phone to go over them instead of having an assistant nurse call. All doctors should be this caring.

Initially, I was impressed with Dr. Ordonez. Until calls of concern went unanswered and I spent two months in & out of urgent care and ER's. At my appointment we had to wait for almost 3 hours to see him. During the time we heard staff making fun a patient who called with concerns. When he finally came and we voiced our concerns his ego really came out and he was extremely unprofessional. Now I'm seeing a new doctor I see how terrible I was being treated. He will not listen to you.

Good doctors are also good listeners. My experience (or really my deceased wife's) is that Dr. Ordonez' ego means he likes to hear himself talk and be clever. At least in our case, he wasn't very good at hearing what my wife was saying about all of her various symptoms. Even when, in retrospect, all those symptoms were classic symptoms of ovarian cancer. (prolapse, abdominal bloating, feeling full, severe weight loss, pelvic and gut issues, constipation). He was sure she had cirrhosis...right.

I am convinced I probably wouldn't be here today if it weren't for Dr. Orodonez. While treating me for a GI issue, he actually found something else and referred me to a specialist who was able to treat my other issue before it became fatal. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Odonez' skill and his excellent bedside manner.
