Dr. Plymale is an excellent physician. He is conservative but is definitely willing to go the extra mile if the situation does not improve. He explains things in layman's terms and takes time to answer questions and explain what he is doing. He will also refer to other physicians if he feels the problem is not in his scope of practice. Would definitely recommend. Have had two surgeries, one shoulder and one elbow. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I went to Dr. Plymale for a knee problem that I've had for years. Not to mention a previous lateral release on the same knee. I was told to start therapy for 8 weeks and buy new shoes! I felt like I was being brushed off. I went back and ask for a MRI. He finally ordered one and when I went back for the results he said it's fine. I mean you have some ACL degeneration and some other issues , but I'm not touching your knee! I was furious! I'm only 28! Definitely getting a 2nd opinion.

Having worked myself for over 7 years in an orthopedic office - I was not impressed with Dr. Plymale. He rushed through the exam, explained everything at a rapid pace that non-medical patients probably wouldn't understand, and became irritated when I refused a treatment that had caused me adverse reactions in the past, opting for a more conservative treatment. I really got the impression that he felt I - a middle aged lady with a knee strain, and not some top athlete - was wasting his time.

Vague, uninterested & quick to rush you out....Super disappointment in my first and last visit with this doctor. Save your time and money, I now have to wait a few more weeks to meet another physician since this was a total waste of time. I would maybe consider referring him to an ex-spouse or life long enemy.

Absolutely awful. There's a difference between poor bedside manners and poor advice. I've never experience such disappointing service as I did with Plymale.

I did not feel he was adequately focused on my knee injury, and the explanation he offered was vague and unhelpful. It was not a useful visit for me.

An overall great experience working with this dr for surgery. He cares and is great at what he doesn't and it shows. Definitely would recommend to others.
I had been seeing another doctor for years, I came to him to get a second opinion. In the 15 minutes he spent with me I understood my condition more and felt more comfortable with him than the doctor I had seen for awhile! He was very thorough, and spent a lot of time explaining to me what was going on, my treatment options, and answering all of my questions. I will definitely be going to Dr.Plymale from now on!
Camden, SC |
First visit:for knee, new provider cost 162.00,any return visits for your knee, office visit will be cheaper, since it won't be considered a first time office visit. You still need to pay extra for any xrays and procedures performed. But go back to the office for any other problem but your knee, you will be charged 162.00 AGAIN, because it is considered a new provider problem. The staff only know how to plug in numbers and NO ONE knows how to put a credit on a bill. A shame loyalty doesn't reward.

Dr. Plymale is by far the best been seeing him for years. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He genuinely cares about what's going thru and he will fight for you.

I went to him for a knee injury. He did not examine my knee. He look at the x-ray and state I had osteoarthritis. He did order a MRI. Dr. Plymale prescribed a light weight wheel chair but my insurance denied it because in my medical history he answered no to other health conditions. I have autoimmune diseases and in poor health. I am on Social Security Disability because of my poor health.
