Michelle Young and this office is amazing. Due to the nature of retinal disease they take retinal emergencies seriously. The long wait times are in part due to the triaging of emergencies and folding them into their day. Retina Doctors are few and far between, however Vermont is so fortunate to have her and this whole team. Vision is worth the wait as blindness may be the alternative. She’s saved my husband’s vision 3 times over! Yeah it’s a wait. There are signs. They do their best, and as long as you appreciate the situation, it’s doable. Thank goodness we don’t have to go to Boston for this type of expert care!

I had just recently moved to the area and had no opthalmologist- I started having flashes and floaters. Dr. Young saw me that same day, and also the same day I had more vision changes. Her staff is friendly and professional, as is Dr. Young. I'm so glad I found her! The wait times can be long- but they are taking care of others - and they offer snacks, books, wifi, and coffee for the wait.

I waited 3 hours. I inquired after 1.5 hours in the waiting room and was told they had stated I could expect the appointment to be 2-3 hours long and the Doctor was busy because she was also on call. It seems they routinely have patients wait that long and there were signs that you should be prepared to wait 2-3+ hours. The Doctor and staff were inappropriate with techs in jeans and sweatshirts and I overheard the Doctor complaining that it was 5pm and she still had many, many patients waiting.
