Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing exceptional medical, dental and behavioral healthcare in a collaborative setting for people of all ages. We proudly serve over 80,000 patients, through 25 outpatient centers, in Colorado's Pikes Peak and East Central Plains regions.

A native of Kansas, Dr. Welch has been associated with Peak Vista for more than 20 years. As Chief Medical and Dental Officer, he is responsible for all medical and dental initiatives aligned with Peak Vista's 25 centers.
Dr. Welch received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence and his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He is retired from the United States Navy Reserve Medical Corps, having attained the rank of Captain.
Dr. Welch serves on the board of El Paso County Medical Society, Colorado Medical Society, Memorial Hospital-University of Colorado Health. Dr. Welch has also written numerous articles for medical publications.
Dr. Welch has been recognized by the National Association of Community Health Centers with the Samuel U. Rodgers Achievement Award, by the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation with the John H. Drabing Award for Extraordinary Dedication and Support, and by the U.S. Navy with both the Navy Commendation Medal and Navy Achievement Medal.
