Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Vaughn "We believe our role in healthcare is that of Preventative Medicine Physicians. We strive to discover and treat the underlying cause(s) for illness; rather than simply providing medical therapy to control the symptoms of an illness. It is our mission to keep our patients healthy and out of the Emergency Room. We offer only the most cost-effective treatments"

Many persons have been told by physicians that their symptoms are due to nasal allergy without testing to confirm this diagnosis. Allergy testing either by blood work (RAST) or skin testing allows the physician to match the timing of the symptoms to a season or trigger. For example, if nasal congestion were thought to be seasonal during the winter (Mountain Cedar pollination time), but allergy testing was negative for Cedar, then allergy medications would be the wrong treatment.
