Chicago, IL |
My experience with Dr. Stewart was beyond unprofessional. I moved to Chicago to enter doctoral degree program, and needed to switch physicians due to scheduling issues with my primary physician in the suburbs. As I am studying to be a doctor myself, I was completely appalled by the lack of ethical competence of this physician. He was condescending, judgmental, and refused to treat me because of my diagnosis. He also did not directly refer me to another physician (borderline patient abandonment.)

I've been seeing Dr. Stewart for several years now and have always had a positive experience. He's the model efficiency you want with a doctor: Assesses your situation, provides an immediate diagnosis, is very upfront with what you are experiencing and what you should expect going forward, and ensures you have no unanswered questions. He provided referrals for a back and a foot specialist and both were excellent. I have recommended him to 3 others who have seen him and heartily agree.

Dr. Stewart is perhaps the worst doctor I've ever been to. I had seen him for the 1st time to follow-up on an Urgent Care visit for extreme symptoms and as a result was affecting my ability to work. I was hoping for the start of a diagnosis. His first question was what brings you here today? and he ACCUSED ME of trying to get disability!? I was beyond OFFENDED. This DR is a total JERK, he was condescending & moreover did not care about my illness or the cause. His license should be revoked.

Dr. Stewart prescribed me Cefdinir (an antibiotic that is a bactericide, which I didn't know at the time) over the phone through one of his nurse practitioners for a sinus infection without discussing what the antibiotic does or the possible side effects and complications. His office must have either lost, or not taken into account, my family history of IBS and Colitis because as a result of taking Cefdinir I developed C. Difficile Colitis.
