Once I was sure that I would need shoulder surgery, I sought recommendations, especially as to who was adept at performing an arthroscopic repair. I learned of Dr. Stanton, that he had attended a fellowship program in one of the best programs in the country, & by his own admission was “very good with a camera.” I liked his confidence! Once in surgery, the repair I needed was much more extensive than what the MRI showed. Dr. Stanton performed a brilliant repair & I went on to have a better-than-new result with my shoulder. Fast forward 3 years later, the repaired shoulder became my stronger arm; However, I pushed myself in the gym well beyond the limits of my aging tendons, and I destroyed Dr. Stanton’s beautiful repair. I’m currently post-op with a revision repair. He is a very talented surgeon with remarkable skills & I’m very lucky to have found him. Along with his secretary & support staff, he has a terrific P.A. that has decades of experience.

On 6/13/2018 I had meniscus tears fixed on my right knee. Best decision I ever made. Dr. Stanton did a fantastic job! I did not have any pain after my surgery and began walking on the third day. I would highly recommend Dr. Stanton and I plan on going to him for any future surgeries. Thank you again.

I had rotator cuff surgery in October. Friends said that post-op and rehab would be painful. One day after surgery, I found that I didn't react well to the pain medicine. I decided to discover if the pain or the pain medicine was worse, so I skipped the next dose. And the next. There was virtually no pain. When I started rehab, the consultant told me that my range of motion was better than average. At 12 weeks in rehab I was done. 15 weeks after surgery I had no pain and no restrictions.

Dr. Stanton performed ACL surgery on my knee. I believe no one could have done a better job. The pain was constant, never ending. My activities were limited, I gained weight, I was not happy. A big part was I couldn't do all the things I love. It emotionally damages you when you don't feel productive. Soul zapping. Two months after the surgery I'm back running. Losing weight rehabbing my knee the pain is gone now. I'm working on my mobility and overall strength. Thank you Dr. Stanton!

I would 100% recommend this Ortho surgeon to ANYONE with a sports related injury. I tore my ACL, MCL, meniscus playing soccer & I found/called Dr. Stanton right away. Two weeks post injury I had surgery - ACL/MCL replacement & Meniscus repair. I am now 3 weeks post surgery & doing GREAT. I was walking within the first day of surgery (in pain, but walking) and I'm way ahead in physical therapy. Scars are MINIMAL and swelling is way down, as he drained fluid at my 1st appt! Also, staff is superb.

Unsympathetic, uncaring DR. Either he doesn't know HOW to treat patients, or he doesn't care ENOUGH to treat patients -it has to be one or the other. Once I found a caring and "knowledgeable" orthopedic Dr, it was obvious how my 3 visits with Dr Michael C Stanton were a complete waste of time, money and worsened shoulder pain while under his care. A 1st appointment with a "different" Orthopedic Dr plus a follow up 2nd visit yielded amazing results. I would never recommend Dr. Michael C. Stanton.

Our experience was through the emergency department with a family member having had a severe arm fracture. There were complex circumstances involved beyond surgical care of the arm. Dr. Stanton provided us with ongoing clear communication. He helped to have addressed other medical concerns in an extremely professional, straightforward and kind manner. Our family member knew his medical care by Dr. Stanton was being addressed in the most optimal way possible given the circumstances involved.
