What People Say About Dr. Michael Sorrell, MD

Worst doctor ever. Arrogant. Incompetent. Could not identify papilledema, a basic identifying symptom of brain tumor, in my son's eyes on multiple examinations. Thank goodness the girl at Lens Crafters (at the Holyoke Mall) could! She sent us for an immediate scan. From Noble Hospital directly to Boston Children's. Sorrell denied my son a scan or MRI for 7 months while the tumor grew. It was 6.5cm the day it was removed--2 days after LensCrafters found it. NEVER go to Sorrell. Incompetence kills

His bedside manners are atrocious. The last time I checked I was a part of the treatment plan. Instead, I was cut off and shooed at when I tried to state my wishes. I may not be the one with the degree but I will not be hushed when talking about my body. He spends more time typing than talking to the patient and whenever I tried to explain anything he would cut me off. I won't be treated like an imbecile. I won't go back.
