Roswell, GA |
Most recently, I was needing a refill on 2 medications, one from my primary care and one from Dr. Smitherman. It took 4 days to get a response from my primary care and the girls in Dr. Smitherman's office had my refill to the pharmacy that day. Also, I NEVER have a wait longer than 10 minutes to be called back to a room with Dr. Smitherman. I would definitely recommend his practice; I have been going to him for at least 5 years.

This doctor was rude from the moment he walked into the room. I thought he maybe having a bad day, but having looked up other reviews, it seems that he gets away with being a total jerk to his patients who are desperate for assistance and hoping that he can help. However, my first visit will also my last. I only stayed because my primary care doctor had suggested him. I was looking for a second opinion regarding my chronic pain and possible RA and Fibromylaygia.

I have the same experience with Smitherman. This guy is supposed to be an expert on fibro and I have seen him for several years only for him to keep prescribing more and more drugs that have terrible side effects. I seriously loath going to him. I've tried the alternative medicines only to get his condenseding attitude. He say do what I say or you won't get better. Well, I have done everything he has said including exercise (lost 50 lbs and now I'm rail thin) and am worse off now then before.

I would totally refer friends and family to Dr. Smitherman. He's been my doctor for well over a year. He attends to my situation/ issues in a professional manner. There is generally no wait when you have an appointment either.
in Roswell, GA |
Dr Smitherman is very knowledgeable, and pays attention to his his patient concerns and address them in a very professional manor. He explains each specific problem and possible solution is in clarity. I fell very comfortable talking with him about my health issues and knowing that he lessons and care.
in Alpharetta, GA |
Dr Smitherman was very quick to prescribe drugs that I didn't feel comfortable taking. I did not feel he understood my symptoms and did not even explain fibro to me at all, but just had a go-to prescription ready to recommend for me to start taking. At my last visit, I told him I'm trying alternative ways to feel better (a cleanse, yoga, massage, etc) and he got mad at me telling me if I don't just take my medication he can't help me. Not compassionate, not empathetic, not a good listener.
in Marietta, GA |
Dr. Smitherman is extremely thorough in his analysis. He is quick to respond to portal messages. His staff is caring and knowledgeable. They all do a great job keeping the patient informed.
