I had been wearing glasses and contacts for 17 years. While being active and living in Florida, I would constantly be dealing with (1) not great vision and (2) having to deal with contacts and glasses. Growing up in the are, I know this practice is the best with the best technology. When it came to my eyes, I did not want to settle for anything less than the best. From the pre op appointment through the 5 minute surgery, the process is so easy!! A few hours later and I was 20/20. My only question for myself was “why did I wait so long”. If you are on the fence about Lasik or have any eye concerns/ needs go see the doctors here! You have nothing to lose and a lot to gain!

I had laser cataract surgery by Dr. Shumski. From start to finish it was an amazing experience and I'm thrilled with the outcome. He gave me plenty of time to answer all my questions. I wore thick glasses my entire life and was at risk of losing my drivers license due to my cataracts. I can now see clearly without glasses and can even drive without them. I'm so happy my optometrist recommended him.

My optometrist sent me to Dr. Shumski for cataract surgery, and I'm thrilled that she did. My vision was very blurry and I was afraid to have surgery. He has a very nice bedside manner and made me feel comfortable through the entire process. My vision is better then it has ever been without glasses. I highly recommend him.

Writing this on behalf of my mother. She's having major eye problems glaucoma & cataracts. She had problems over the weekend & her primary doctor, Dr. Kushnick instructed her to call anytime. Dr. Shumski was on call & gave her instructions & later he called her to see how she was doing. Appointment was made with Dr. Kushnick. Following week new problems & she was seen by Dr. Shumski. He was up front not having expertise with her problems & went ABOVE & BEYOND to get her the help she needed.

I had cataracts and a stigmatism in both eyes. One eye was so bad I was basically completely blind, even with my glasses on. After cataract surgery with Dr. Shumski I can see perfectly and I don't even need my glasses anymore. I wore glasses for 40 years and now can see better than ever without them. I am extremely grateful to him and his staff.
