My left ankle was in bad shape and became become unbearable in 2016 so I saw Dr. Salamon in August 2016. He strongly recommended ankle fusion surgery and I had the surgery on January 6th. He graphed in a bone from below my knee and attached it with a plate and 8 screws. The fusion was a success and I can walk, ride a bike, do the elliptical machine and eventually hike and walk indefinitely. I would not trust anyone but Dr. Salamon, his skill as a surgeon is impeccable.

Dr Salamon holds every characteristic that patients desire in a Doctor, and more. He has a exceptional bedside manor, excellent guidance and options for treatment, outstanding communication, and most importantly an extraordinary surgeon. We could not be happier with the success and outcome that Dr. Salamon has acheived. My son said today "Dr Salamon is my all-time favorite Doctor!" As a Mom, I couldn't agree more.

Most amazing doctor ever!!!!

Wonderful doctor and wonderful manner. Fixed my issue both times I saw him. Will defenitely go back if needed. No need to look anywhere else.

I have been a patient of Dr Salamon for at least 10 years. He has replaced both of my knees. One 4 years ago. Which is pain free. The other knee replacement was in march 2017. I'm still recooperating. But very optimistic for a full pain free recovery. TKA recovery is a long process. So don't be discouraged but be prepared. Dr S has outstanding beside manner and encourages conservative treatment. Told me I'll know when I'm ready for surgery. My highest recommendations for him and his practice.

I needed surgery on both my shoulders. Right one first in 2010 and left one in December 2016. Mr. Salamon was recommended to me by a friend and is the best decision I could have made. I have recovered from both surgeries with 100% movement. I recommend Dr. Salamon highly and without hesitation. Any questions I have asked have been answered so I can understand them completely. I have never felt rushed during my appointments.

Dr. Salamon is an excellent orthopedic physician. He gave me advice after reviewing films taken of a fractured knee cap and recommended that I not choose surgery as my first option and was totally right. He recommended a course of non surgical things for me to do which I followed and I absolutely did not need the surgery another doctor had first said I needed. I like that he does not do procedures that are not necessary. I would highly recommend Dr. Salamon.

Dr. Salamon and his staff were very friendly. Dr. Salamon spent a lot of time going over my injury and he gave me all my options for treatment. He suggested that I try conservative treatment first instead of surgery. My problem healed without surgery and I appreciated that he didn't rush to operate. I would highly recommend Dr. Salamon!
Louisville, KY |
On my initial visit Dr. Salamon took the time to explain my problem and gave me options for treatment. He was very caring and took his time with me. The office staff was courteous, pleasant, and even with x-rays, I only spent 45 minutes at my appointment. They didn't rush me at all.
Louisville, KY |
I saw Dr. Salamon for an injured thumb. After examining me and having x-rays, Dr. Salamon clearly explained that I had broken my thumb and went over my treatment options with me. Because my thumb was dislocated, I chose to have him set it back into place. My thumb healed great and is perfectly straight. I was very happy with how Dr. Salamon treated me and I would recommend him to my friends if they get injured.

Fantastic physician and surgeon. He really took care of me like a family member and got me back on the court after my knee injury. Highly recommended. The only surgeon I would let operate on a loved one for an orthopaedic problem!
Shepherdsville, KY |
The office environment is inviting and professional, but Dr. Salamon dismissed my case in an offhand way. If you need foot surgery, seek another specialist.
Louisville, KY |
Very unsympathetic to initial pain. Bed side manner poor, dismisses patients concerns and comments. Does not explain in detail about what is truly wrong or what future steps can be taken. Patient feels like they are inconveniencing him and his precious time. I left this practice prior to getting surgery because I did not feel comfortable they truly care.

Been in pain since hammertoe surgery he did in 2014. I had a small amount of drainage coming from the incision site 2 months after surgery. Dr Salamon stated that the screw he put in had become loose and he had to go in a remove it. During surgery he also removed my 2nd metatarsal head stating it was necrotic and possibly infected even though he never did and MRI and lab showed no infection! I have seen many Dr's and Cleveland Clinic all said the head should never have been removed!!!!
