Dr. P saw our daughter for her knee pain. He is smug and pretentious. After telling her to bear all of her weight on her leg she felt excruciating pain lasting for hours. Had he tried listening this could have been prevented. His explanation was that he 'didn't know what to tell us, she is doing it in purpose'. He refused to look at the nerves after we suggested it. We took our daughter to iowa City where she was definitively diagnosed with a pain amplification syndrome involving her nerves

While trying to explain my history of ankle injuries/problems, I got interrupted and asked what injury I came there for. I explained and when I was asked where it hurt the most, I told him there were two different places. He seemed irritated when I was trying to explain there is more than one spot it hurt.

He is very proactive when it comes to treatment and knowledgeable about conditions. I have tarsal coalitions and he was the only one that has been able to help me. I am to get another surgery soon to take out another coalition. Unlike other specialists and doctors I have seen, he didn't tell me I had to have my joints fused which would have been devastating. He has been positive about my prognosis this whole time and assures me I will be able to run again. He has let me have input on procedures.
During my first and last visit with Dr. Pyevich, I was sent to him for an emergency leg amputation. His arrogant attitude and demeanor must have prevented him from performing this much needed surgery, as he sent me home with much pain and told me to return next week. I would have died if I followed his advise. Thankfully, I went to the emergency room two days later, septic and in horrendous pain, and a real caring doctor completed the surgery, saving my life.

I am so disgusted by his behavior I don't even know where to begin. This Dr. is one of the rudest people I have ever crossed paths with and way out of line. I will never go to ORA again.

Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
