Dr Ost treated me for a congenital urinary tract issue that i was born with and leads to many complications up to and including kidney failure. His straight forward no nonsense approach saved my life and kidneys as he had unique insight and experience to provide an alternative therapy to constant antibiotic use, which lead me to antibiotic resistance in my body. As a result I have been UTI free for over a decade with NO renal degradation in that time. Considering other skilled physicians predictions of dialysis in my future I have surpassed the age when that was believed to be my health path outcome. Dr Ost is a very matter of fact physician with a great emphasis on science and frankly a really smart man. Keep in mind while you speak he is a superhuman computer solving your problem in real time. I have found him to be compassionate and caring for all issues even including health costs when there is an insurance conflict. Again he always puts the patient first.

Well,well....I see things haven't changed ! As a mother of a child with a bladder defect, we needed him !! Drove 10 hours to see him from Tennessee !! Got to our appointment and he refused to see us . We went back in 2 weeks . My son actually had a bladder stone and surgery was done. Now I'm not a set back and take it kinda girl..........so we did butt heads a few times. I'm also a nurse and don't appreciate being talked down to . However, he came to me and apologized. Surgery went great ! So my advice would be to talk with him and express your concerns. He is a good Dr. And yes, sounds like he still needs to work on bedside manner and communication . After all, it is his profession. He picked it ...............

In 04/2008, I was 46 years old and diagnosed with bladder cancer. After thorough research and careful consideration by me, my family and my PCP, I decided to seek treatment with Dr. Ost. My surgery was during 07/2008 and due to anesthetic complications, I was comatose for a long period of time. Dr Ost stood his ground and ensured that I remained in his direct care rather than be warehoused at a skill nursing facility. Dr. Ost saved my life in a kind, caring and professional way. I owe him!

Our son needed circumcision revision, was referred to this hospital having him as the Doctor to carry out the procedure. first meeting with him, we brushed it off as maybe he might be having a bad day, but we were wrong, all our meeting with him after, had been emotionally draining. He treat us like a bullet had been put to his head to attend to us, showing body language like we were banch of idiots he had to deal with. Very uncomfortable expirence we will do anything to avoid in the future
