I just moved to Florida from Detroit. I had to establish care with a new cardiologist and I couldn't be more pleased with my choice of a physician. Dr Metzger was patient, attentive and answered my list of questions to my satisfaction. He scheduled a follow-up visit so he would have time to review my medical records before pursuing a course of treatment. His staff was efficient and cordial.

Moved to DelRay Beach 1 year ago . Have a history of heart disease. Needed to find a new cardiologist and was referred to Dr Metzger. My first meeting with Dr. Metzger went okay. A few weeks later I went to see him and was having chest pain’s and was feeling nauseous with pains in jaw and left arm. I explained this to the Doctor. I asked him if was going to do any diagnostic work up . He did not like me asking him this question and became up set with me . This was on a Friday afternoon. When I got home my wife took me to the hospital. I had a heart attack and was given a stent the next morning. The doctor never asked me if I was was feeling sick and should go to the ER. I find doctor Metzger to be arrogant and self absorbed. I could of died because of his over exaggerated ego .

I am a retired physician. Having practiced Neurology for many years up North, I through my observation , training and personal experience can intuitively learn and know a lot about another human being. This body of mine has coronary arteries that have atherosclerosis and 9 years ago, while in another country, I had a potentially fatal narrowing of a proximal main artery that was opened up and stent was placed. Upon returning home, I met the doctor, and he has followed me up and taken excellent care for me. Look in his eyes, and you will learn a lot. I find him amazingly capable, caring and know how important this is when it comes to what is right for patients who need cardiac care. I learn a lot about him through his excellent images at metzgerimages.com. My wish for you is that you too find such a caring physician, wherever you live. ,

If I could give Dr Metzger 10 stars, I would. I was rushed into Bethesda East & had the good fortune of Dr Metzger and his team. He literally saved my life by removing multiple clots in my lungs, DVT and iliac vein. Had I been taken elsewhere, traditional therapies would not have saved me - confirmed by many doctors. With my life literally in his hands, I was immediately comfortable because of his confidence that the proposed procedure would succeed and he was right. The culture in his entire practice is a reflection of his professionalism and his brilliance as a physician. I’m forever grateful to Dr Metzger and back to living a very full normal routine.

I changed doctors after having A-Fib. Had an ablation done at Bethesda. Asked the head nurse on the cardiac floor who he would recommend for a cardiologist. He said the best, Michael Metzger. That was about 5 years ago. Have been seeing Dr. Metzger every since. Fantastic doctor. Takes time to explain everything. Tells it like it is......Saved my life.

I saw this doc one time and had several tests performed following an MI. He gave me an appointment to have the results explained. My appointment was at 4:15 on a Friday. I pulled into a parking space at the office and received a call on my cell from his medical assistant, Victoria, who informed me the doc had an emergency and just left the office. Offered me an appointment for a later date. I told her I didn't have my calendar and would call her back when I got home. Returned call and office was closed. Left message, but never received a call back from Victoria. I called the scheduler the following Monday and was given an appoint for 2:30 pm the following Thursday. At 1:30 pm I received a call from same Victoria, medical assistant, informing me with an attitude of god, the doc had an emergency at the hospital and didn't know when he would be back in the office. No apology. But I could come in at 5 pm. I informed the medical assistant that I had plans at 5 pm and again, with an attitude

Printed out the pre-appointment paperwork at home, filled it out & brought it to the office to get my prior doctor's records sent. Two weeks later,I arrived for my appointment. They had no record of me, denied that I had brought anything in, & never contacted my previous doctor to obtain my records. The front office worker looked dazed & confused. They rummaged around & FOUND my paperwork sitting where it was thrown 2 weeks ago.The front office is slovenly run, office is ugly. Manager ignored me.
