I waited an hour and a half. When he came in he asked why I was there and how did I know. He asked if I was having problems with my prostate, I am a 68 year old woman. I did not appreciate his humor. He did not order any tests to see if my condition had worsened. He said when you get ready to get if fixed let me know. He did not make a future appointment, he told the receptionist that I had had enough of him for the day. I would not recommend him and I will NEVER go back to him. It was a total waste of my time and money.

My name is David Messent of New Zealand. In October 1996 my wife and I were working on a Mercy Ship working out of the USA. Dr Mcivor saved my life after having an angiogramh and finding I had 9 blockages and a weakend artery. Immediate surgery was ordered saving my life. I am most gratful. Three days after 5 bypass I was back on the ship and I recovered very quickly. I was able to continue my work on the ship after two week and wokred there till we left the ship in June 1997. This October will be 25years since my surrgery. I will be 80 in July and I have not had any further problems. I am very fit and I am still working. I thank God for Dr McIvor for saving mr life. I was very fortunate to have him as my cardiologist and his knowledge of my problem. THANK YOU Dr McIvor.

I have been a patient of Dr. McIvor for the past several years. He did his fellowship at the renowned Johns Hopkins. He is very thorough and extremely competent. He answers all my questions and I trust his advice. I have never known a more competent nurse than his nurse Susan. I am so glad that she is a part of Dr. McIvor's office. What a team! We are so fortunate they are in Key West.

I would recommend Dr McIvor. He has helped me with medical care for many years! Problems and concerns are addressed by him with working solutions! He is a brilliant Heart Doctor. His nurse, Susan, is so loving, kind, smart and helpful! Yvonne is a perfect receptionist! The technicians are very friendly and skilled! Dr McIvor saved my husband’s life in 2011. We both trust him and are so thankful he is there in Key West to take care of us. He has generously given his time and experience and help to me whenever I have needed his care.

With today's medical practice norms it is becoming more rare to have a face to face in depth evaluation with an actual board certified cardiologist. Fortunately here, there is little wait time, efficient and very helpful staff, and a physician who performs a thorough exam aimed beyond cardiology to the patients total health and well being. It is even rarer when the cardiologist has the outstanding medical credentials of Dr. Michael McIvor. Due to my extensive traveling throughout the Eastern US I have received cardiac care in everything from small rural hospitals to large teaching medical centers. My care here has been second to none, and there's even close convenient parking.

My husband coughed up a lot of blood one morning. We went to the ER got an X-ray. There was a murky, indeterminate thing in one of his lungs. A biopsy was scheduled three days later. The machine broke and the pulmonologist said he would get back to us. We called his office a few times and left messages. An X-ray was ordered but not scheduled. In desperation, we called Dr. McIvor, a caring doc my husband had seen for heart issues. Dr. McIvor met with us for about 45 minutes. He ordered an MRI of another area but it didn’t get scheduled either. Finally his office manager got it scheduled. While in imaging, my husband talked them into taking the X-ray too. A few days later, we were back in Dr. McIvor’s office where he suggested a plan of action, we agreed. While we were in his office, he called a doctor at Mt. Sinai and had an appointment scheduled. The Mt. Sinai doc called us before we were out of Key West. Take-aways: be proactive, don’t get ill, choose Dr. McIvor.

Most definitely would recommend this physician to family and friends. Listens, ask probing questions, covers proposed a treatment plan and scheduled FU visits appropriately. Have enjoyed having him as a consultant and treatment advisor. We are moving out of this area and will miss him and the office staff? Five star office staff and Dr.

A physician who may be competent working with his exact demographic: older white males. Period. His manner with female patients is highly inappropriate. There were appalling "jokes" made about whether I was pregnant, in car crashes, and that I "wouldn't die" from my condition. His appearance was unkempt and on one visit, he had gashes on his face. Before my final visit, I was kept waiting NINETY minutes with zero explanation or apology. Office was bizarrely cluttered and full of personal stuff.
