I went to Dr. Lobis after a PSA of 7.5. A needle biopsy showed cancer, Gleason of 9. Dr. Lobis suggested meeting with a multi-disciplinary team to discuss treatment options. The "multi-disciplinary" did not include any surgeons, and essentially offered only 1 option. This in spite of the fact that their web site declares that surgery is "the gold standard" for those under 70. While rules of thumb are a reasonable place to start a discussion, that is all they should be. I am in good health.
