After obtaining his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Leonard then completed his neurosurgery residency, as well as a fellowship in spine surgery, at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital. Additionally, he has been a pioneer in the use of robotics in spine surgery, establishing the first robotic spine surgery center in South Texas and is the only doctor in San Antonio utilizing the Mazor Robotics Renaissance Spine Surgery System, to make surgeries less invasive and enable patients to achieve a faster recovery with less pain than traditional surgical techniques.
