This content was provided by Dr. Lee "Michael D. Lee, M.D., joined the staff of Ortho NorthEast in 1994 and specializes in the field of sports medicine at SportONE. A long-time resident of Fort Wayne, Dr. Lee has deep roots in our community. His introduction to Fort Wayne and ONE, began in 1964 when his father, the retired John W. Lee M.D., joined the young practice. Dr. Lee attended Fort Wayne Community Schools, ultimately graduating with honors as senior class president of R. Nelson Snider High School where he was a varsity member of the tennis, baseball and hockey clubs. Dr. Lee continued his education at Indiana University, Bloomington, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Chemistry in 1984. He went on to graduate with honors from the Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis. Dr. Lee then returned to his birthplace of Rochester, Minnesota, to complete his residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He also completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Cincinnati Sportsmedicine, Cincinnati, Ohio. Board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Lee retains active memberships in the American Medical Association, the Indiana State Medical Association, the Fort Wayne Medical Society and the Indiana Orthopaedic Society. In addition, he is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies."
