I recently began my own practice so that I could give women the care they deserve and need. My new office is in the Peterkort Building just west of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. I'm Board-Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. My medical degree is from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, and I completed my internship and residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. I actually worked in environmental and economic development planning for several years before deciding that my true calling was to become a doctor. I've witnessed and now take part in landmark changes in women's healthcare, with advances in laparoscopic surgery, ultrasound and genetic screening. I concentrate on all aspects of gynecology, from routine conditions to very advanced surgery. My integrated approach to my medical practice and to life is an outgrowth of my belief in the importance of health and physical/emotional well-being. My goal is to help women understand and take control of their health – with my guidance! Professional Affiliations: • Treasurer, American college of OBGYN, Oregon Section, 2011 to present • President, Portland Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, Portland, 2006-7 • Faculty, AAGL Minimally Invasive Gynecologic surgery Fellowship Program, Legacy Hospital Medical System, 2009 – 2014 • Recently named one of the Top Doctors 7 Nurses by Portland Monthly Magazine, January 2017
