About Me

Care Philosophy

As a board certified Allergy and Rheumatology physician, I believe in treating the patient with a comprehensive approach. This involves total care including making the appropriate diagnosis and treating the problems without over treating. Surgical options are always the last resort. Went in for specific mold testing and was tested for all kinds of other allergens that were not requested. His billing department lies about coverage knowing that for his fees, you would not continue to receive treatment at this facility

Not happy with his care. At some point people need to understand its time to retire. Dr. Kohen dropped the ball twice with me giving a toxic dose of a medication that lead me to emergency room with kidney failure. He is a nice person and sweet old man, however, I believe not as sharp as he was.

I have worked in the medical field for 30 years, Dr Kohen takes his time, answers all your questions and isn’t afraid to put his hands on you to do an exam. He’s very knowledgeable and thorough, I have recommended many patients to him. I will stay with him until he retires!

I see Dr. Kohen for 18 years and I’m sad to write that I don’t think he is the same anymore. He is getting old, forgetful and the incompetence of his staff members is shocking. Everything takes too long, nurses never pick up the phone, meds are delayed. It’s sad and he should look into just taking a break or retiring.

Just a really poor overall experience. The doctor is arrogant and does not listen to what you have to say. No eye contact. Keeps staring at the computer which is rude and inappropriate. Will never go back. Lady at front desk is loud and keeps cursing and using unpleasant language. I wonder where she was picked up from.....

unfortunately Dr. Kohen’s office is a highly dysfunctional. The wait time is too much with people waiting for more than 2-3 hours to be seen. The front desk is friendly but very uneducated and unaware of a better way to talk to patients. The nurses have no clue about prescriptions and everything takes forever. I believe that the office should really take a deep restructure because the way things are done is subpar and, quite honestly, not patient centric.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kohen for about 3 years. Through the years I noticed how poorly organized his staff is but currently is just been a real mess. When I call for a renewal of prescription it never gets done, nurses are slow and clueless everytime. The wait time has been worse and worse. It’s not fair to have an 80 year old person wait 2 hours past her appointment time. I’m sorry but I will not be coming back. I wish your ship had a better captain, Dr. Kohen.

Dr. Kohen is compassionate and truly caring. He stays up to date on recent medical findings and treatments. I have been seeing him 13 years and has helped me keep my RA and allergies in check. I think wo his experimenting to find the proper treatment for my RA that I would be in terrible shape. He found the meds I need to keep RA in check and helps make adjustments as needed. I highly recommend Dr. Kohen.

I shall never recommend this uncouth, disrespectful doctor who totally overbooks his patients and causes a lot of pressure on his staff. He has 1 LPN, and the rest are medical assistants. Crazy unhealthy environment.

Dr Kohen is amazing. There are no other words to describe this man. He is without a doubt the most thorough and competent physician I have ever met. I am a physician myself and I have seen numerous physicians over the years who have bungled my care. I was still new and learning and I assumed that other doctors were competent. How wrong I was. All my other specialsits wanted to do was cut or dismiss my issues. Dr Kohen ordered a blood test that confirmed my suspicions. What a god send!!

This practice is not willing to work with new patients so they can get the needed treatment they need. Waited three months for an appointment and then get can't go due to them not willing to work with me on my deductible.

I called his office today and was advised that because it had been a while since I saw Dr. Kohen, they would have to treat me as a new patient which meant they couldn't schedule me until December. Today is August 31. I'm having severe symptoms related to a diagnosis he gave me (which will never go away) and I need help now. They won't even send me for blood work until I see him. So any actual form of treatment won't be recommended until approximately 6 months from now. Unacceptable.

I find it unacceptable to have an appointment that can not be kept to a reasonable wait time. I arrived for my 9:40 A.M. appointment at 9:35. I was called to the desk at 9:40 to pay my deductible. I then waited in the waiting area until 10:15 and was then taken to the exam room to wait for the doctor. I still had not seen Dr. Kohen by 11:00.This the second experience that I have had in this office and it appears to be the norm of the day for them.

I've been seeing Dr Kohn for about 5 years. I was ready to look for another doc when Tatanya Tool, phy assist, joined his practice. She's wonderful. Everything I disliked about him (very unfriendly, poor listener, doesn't answer questions or explain medical pricedures and absolute worst is wait time 45 min to 3 hrs) I liked in her. However, the last time I was there she was gone..I was told she's no longer with them BOOOOO guess I'm looking for a new doc again.
