Dr. Jacobs replaced both my knees in January 2020. He truly gave me back my life. I was in so much pain before surgery and could barely walk. Dr. Jacobs listened to me and recommended knee replacement. So glad I had the surgery. I can do things that I was unable to do for years. I cannot Thank Dr. Jacobs and his staff enough. I would definitely without a doubt recommend him (and I do) to everyone.

I did a lot of research on Dr. Jacobs prior to my surgery. He is top in his profession. I am extremely satisfied with my full hip replacement. Very quick recovery, very little pain. I was also impressed with MedStar. All very professional and courteous.

Dr. Jacobs was superb. The process for a full knee replacement (via the Mako Robotic approach) was efficient and professional. I had an initial office visit (for condition evaluation purposes which included knee x-rays). Prior to surgery, I had a general physical and knee scan (for use in the robotic approach). The surgery went smoothly (Dr. Jacobs explained the process to me before the surgery and met with me after surgery to outline the success of the process). My recovery was prompt (due to regular use of MedStar rehab). After five weeks, I am walking normally - 3 miles easily, have no pain, go up/down stairs normally and have started riding my bike (outdoors). I still have some swelling and stiffness (when I first get up). The results/timing of recovery exceeded by expectations. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jacobs.

I had right hip replacement surgery and the results were absolutely great! I used the walker to our car (mandatory) and into our multi level house. Never used it again! Minimal pain and able to navigate our house with no problem. After several weeks most of the aches were gone. If I sat too long my muscles would ache for a few steps and that was all. Went about my hobby of making pens.

I had a total hip replacement, anterior approach one year ago. Dr Jacobs was recommended to me by a friend who’d had two successful knee replacements. The attention and care provided by Dr Jacobs and his entire staff was excellent, professional, reassuring before and after surgery. I’ll admit I was scared and delayed getting it done far too long. After 3 months I started bicycling a little each day (I’m not typically a hung ho fitness nut but do maintain consistent 4x week exercise of one sort or another). One year following surgery I am paddle boarding, cycling 15 to 20 miles several times a week without any hint of having had surgery. I’m 65 years old. I highly recommend Dr Jacobs and his team. Jim was fabulous also. .Don’t suffer needlessly. Trust in the care of this wonderful team, Medstar’s hospital and follow their advice during recovery.

Dr. Jacobs is outstanding. At my first visit he required all of my medical records. After reviewing them he diagnosed me with a painful condition that I had been trying to get diagnosed for 30 years. (I had not gone into him for this reason). I was totally surprised and relieved. During this discussion he was so caring and totally concerned. He truly cares about his patients. Thanks to his instruction I was able to hold on to my knees for another 20 years because the surgery I required had not been perfected at that time. This past year he performed two separate surgeries for total knee replacements. He was totally hands on, even going a step above to help me with pain management. After each surgery I was able to complete Physical Therapy in 6 weeks and am pain free. Dr. Jacobs is a superior physician in all aspects.

Dr. Jacobs did rt knee replacement in 2015 and because of the success of that surgery, I'm having the left knee surgery on 10/05/2020. I completely feel that that surgery will be as well as the first.

Dr. Jacobs did a bi lateral knee replacement for me on 1/6/2020. Everything went amazing. The staff at Union Memorial he works with were outstanding. I was able to return to work in just 6 weeks. I was able to ride my recumbent bike and walk a full set of steps within 7 days. Dr. Jacobs was to the point with every explanation, his staff was well organized. I could not ask for better care all around. I can't wait to chase my 2 year old grand-daughter round and dance at my son's wedding. Thank you Dr. Jacobs for giving me my life back.
