Misdiagnosed shoulder pain and performed shoulder surgery on my wife which did no good. Ended up being a spinal issue in the neck region and another surgery (by another doctor) was required to resolve the problem. In the mean time, my wife suffered for 18 months with severe pain, surgery and subseequent therapy for no reason. Never again!

Doctor insensitive to patients, does not give quality care.

Awesome doctor.. He knows his stuff!! Kind, caring and understanding. He puts his patients first. Dr. Heckman is #1 in my book. He has taken care of my ortho needs for several years and has done several surgeries to repair some injuries. I wouldn't go to anyone else

I wanted to get a 2nd opinion about my knee, and filled in the contact form where a team member would review your request and respond quickly. Never heard back, so took that as a bad sign and tried a different doctor.

The Doctor to go to in the region for orthopedic surgery and the best ACL surgeon hands down. My son had his ACL repaired by a doctor at TSAOG and it failed the first day cleared. I don't wish this on anyone. The Spurs doctor seems OK but a bit cavalier. For me and anyone in my family I unequivocally and emphatically insist on Dr. Heckman. He repaired the mess the TSAOG dr. did. He is the doctor people go to for failed surgeries for goodness sake, just go to the best from the get go!!!
