Dr. Hausman successfully treated three trigger fingers on my left hand and I was able to resume drumming within three weeks of his surgery. He is a masterful surgeon and his level of experience speaks for itself. I have recommended Dr. Hausman to every person that I know who has acquired a repetitive motion injury of the hands.
in New York, NY |
Dr. Hausman was phenomenal throughout my time and care. I needed a reconstructive surgery on my elbow, and both prior to and after the surgery the visits were to the point, I was provided with all information requested and pertinent & I found all of the staff to be greatly helpful. The surgery itself exceeded all expectation in terms of recovery & procedure, and multiple orthopedists review afterward have all reacted with amazement after review of both my xrays & physical movement.
New York, NY |
Although I previously had surgery with Dr. Hausman for a different injury and found his treatment to be more than adequate, I had an extremely negative experience during an office visit yesterday that I felt compelled to share. Dr. Hausman was dismissive, condescending and rushed during my appointment for which he kept me waiting for almost an hour while seeing other patients. He spoke to me this way in front of trainees and did not examine me or ask any specific questions about my pain.
in Rockaway Park, NY |
Dr. Housman has encyclopedic knowledge of his specialty, and he shared it with me when discussing my problem readily and clearly. He has never tried to impose on me a procedure or a test that was not absolutely necessary. Most importantly, I can see his sincere desire to help the patient the best way possible, no matter how hard it is. He really doesn't spare his time or effort when it's necessary and readily enlists other specialists that he knows can be of help.To me, it is true compassion.

I had some apprehension after reading some negative reviews, but I found Dr. Hausman to be a lovely gentleman. He was conservative in his treatment of my son's injury, which I really appreciated. Don't believe the negative reviews! Dr. Hausman is extremely competent and nice. His staff was great, too.
Misdiagnosed my problem. Arrogant, incompetent. Resented being questioned. The operation was a failure and he lied about it and said it didn't go according to the textbook but was successful.
in Brooklyn, NY |
Very strange visit. He didn't really speak with me. I asked questions and he didn't answer them. His treatment of my broken wrist was odd. I made a subsequent appointment with another wrist specialist at NYU Langone who was quite surprised at the treatment I had received at Dr. Hausman. Langone doc was able to answer all of my questions and his treatment seems to be working quite well. I would avoid Dr. Hausman.
