The experience from first office visit thru surgery and follow up office visit, all went smoothly and everyone was very nice. I would recommend Dr. Gutman for thyroid surgery.

Pompous and arrogant- made me wait over 1/2 hour for him. Decided that I need surgery. Went to another doctor who said that I do not need surgery- stay away from this one.

This dude is the worst ENT in Arizona and perhaps in the nation. He treated my sister like a piece of garbage. He insulted her for going to the ER when she experienced the severe symptoms mimicking a stroke but yet he wouldn't give her an appointment until the ER visit occurred. He is incompetent, inefficient and ineffective.

No one every wants their child to need surgery, but Dr. Gutman explained why he suspected our 17mo old son would need ear tubes (we'd suspected after a string of ear infections) and then subsequent testing confirmed middle ear fluid. He answered all of our questions and explained things thoroughly. We are SO happy a schoolmate's mommy recommended him, this was a very positive experience before and after surgery. Staff were also equally friendly and had excellent child bedside manner. Thank you.
