This content was provided by Dr. Goldbaum "In 1996, Dr. Goldbaum published a report on the first known case of a newborn with E-Coli Endophthalmitis, resulting in inflammation of the internal structures of the tissues in the eyeball. Dr. Goldbaum's breakthrough in treatment for macular hole was featured in 1998 issues of Ocular Surgery News and the journal, Ophthalmology.
