With no cartilage remaining in either knee and all other options exhausted Dr Gillman recommended a Total Knee Replacement. The surgery was done on 12/20/17. The recovery has been much better than I expected. Walking with cane on day 4. Off all pain meds on day 7. I can’t say enough about Dr...more

Unfortunately, this doctor did not listen to even 5% of the words he even allowed me to say. He constantly interrupted me, not allowing me to even explain my injury or history of injury to get a proper prognosis and professional opinion. In fact, he tried telling me that I can cycle or swim while I...more

I apologize you don't feel you were able to give me a full 20 yr history in the time available.I try my best to explain diagnoses & ALL treatment options as I patiently did TWICE for you! A month after injury, crutches and brace are generally not helpful- indeed counterproductive for most soft tissue injuries of the knee. P.T. and swim/bike are helpful usually even if painful. Quick fixes aren't often feasible. Surgery is not always the best answer! I take pride in giving my best advice to all.

Dr. Gillman is A+ in my book. He did a posterial hip replacement on me and I feel better than I have in a year. He is professional and kind and cares about his patients. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any orthopedic procedure.

I had a knee replacement performed by Dr. Gillman on January 20, 2016. After more than a year of chronic pain, I'm now scheduled to have revision surgery. Apparently, the prosthetic is loose. I saw Dr. Gillman several times over a five month period following the surgery. He cited other reasons for...more

Sorry you did not have a good outcome. Even the best surgeons have 10-20 percent of patients not satisfied with their outcome from a knee replacement surgery. The Hospital system in which I work used Stryker Analytics to evaluate every joint replacement performed by every surgeon objectively over a period of 3 years. I was pleased to be ranked #1 out of the 16 providers in the four main categories:lowest readmission rate, shortest hospital stay (1/2 group average) highest dc home, lowest cost MD
