Avoid this doctor, he doesn't show up to an appointment and has no respect for anyone else's time. I called multiple times while waiting in the virtual office only to be told he would be there any minute now...an hour later he never showed. No one contacted me or updated me until I called in. I made this appointment 2 weeks in advance, there is no reason I should have to wait for an hour to find out he wasn't going to be available.

Dr. Flicker is an amazing doctor and an amazing person. I’ve been suffering through excruciating pain from chronic idiopathic pancreatitis for the past three months with weekly visits to the ER and then being admitted to the hospital. Dr. Flicker has been the one to finally free me from this horrible way of living. He is very thorough, knowledgeable and has a gift for explaining complicated facts and procedures. All the nurses in the ER and hospital would smile and tell me that I’m very lucky to have him because he is a really great doctor and is one of the nicest doctors they have the pleasure to work with. From our first meeting in my hospital room, to online visits, to pre-op consultations, all through post-op recovery in the hospital and even now as I’m healing at home... he gives you his full attention, explains everything in clear details, never treats you dismissively(which one or two did), is comforting when you’re afraid and obviously does a great job in surgery.

Dr. Flicker is an amazing GI doctor. Was very attentive to my problem. And suggested few different approaches.. Office waiting room gets crowded sometimes. This and scheduling has nothing to do with Dr. Flicker professionalism. Thank you Dr. Flicker.

Was referred here for tests. Tests were taken and it's been months of playing phone tag with the front office woman trying to obtain the results. Office Hours are stated as Weds 1-4 & Thursday 9-5 however no one ever answers during those hours. No other options for obtaining test results have been offered. Recurrence of symptoms that brought me to need the test has happened will be switching away from Advocate ASAP.

The process of scheduling appointments in this office is beyond ridiculous and when I was finally able to get through schedule an appointment, I received a message several weeks later notifying me that the doctor would not be available on the date upon which my appointment had been scheduled. I have tried several times to reach someone to try and reschedule, but apparently Dr. Flicker's office in Chicago is in a different time zone than my home in Chicago.

Doogie Houser with an attitude. The first thing he said was not, What can I help you with? Instead it was a plaintive, bewildered Why are you here? My mom died of colon cancer at a young age, and every time I have a colonoscopy, polyps are found. My previous guy retired. I've been told to get a colonoscopy every 3 years. That's why I'm here. This seemed baffling to him.
