This content was provided by Dr. Cookson "A graduate of the OU's College of Medicine, residency at U.T. San Antonio and a Uro-Oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. I also received a Master's in Health Care from Vanderbilt. I am certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Urology. With over 20 years of experience focusing on prostate and urologic cancers, he moved back to Oklahoma City to help build the largest Urologic Oncology Program in the state based at the Stephenson Cancer Center. In addition to a busy clinical and surgical practice, education and research have been a mainstay of my career. This has led to the integration of evidence based medicine and clinical care pathways, enhanced guidelines, and improved education as a member of the AUA/ABU Exam Committee and Chair of the SUO's OKAT. I was the chair of the AUA's CPRC Guidelines Panel. I am the President elect of the Society of Urologic Oncology, the largest National organization that helps guide training and the practice of urologic cancer at the National level. He has authored more 300 peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the AAGUS, a group of only 75 practicing urologists in the United States and numerous professional societies. "
