Dr. Campbell and his staff are phenomenal. They understand the demands of high level athletics, and his operations are top notch. He tells you his honest opinion, and is not one to recommend surgery unless it is necessary. I would recommend Dr. Campbell to any current or aspiring collegiate athlete with a foot/ankle injury.

Dr. Campbell is the best. I was referred to him by Orthopedic Surgeons of Elizabeth City. After looking at my xrays, they decided that i needed to go see Dr. Campbell. I had an ankle fracture that was so bad, that statistically had less than a 10 percent chance of healing. Dr. Campbell performed the surgery and after 5 months I am walking normal. Dr. Campbell and his staff are awesome!

I'm a long-time (7 years) patient of Dr. Campbell's, because I feel confident in his skills, and know that when I come to an appointment he'll make time to attentively listen and talk about old or new issues. He did two Achilles tendon surgeries for me and has periodically followed up with other foot and ankle issues. I have often recommended him to other people with similar problems. As for interactions with him, anyone I meet who's been his patient always says the same thing, "He's one of the nicest guys I've ever met!"

Dr. Campbell and his staff (Jennifer especially) are the BEST you will ever find. With unforeseen and serious complications with my Total Ankle Replacement Surgery, they had a COMPLETE understanding of My particular situation and how to handle it appropriately. As a private pilot and Aircraft Mechanic I will be eternally grateful for the decisions that he made on the spot! Of course surgeries like this have short term effects, but, I would recommend him to ANYONE. I'm about to go back to work soon and can continue my life as planned thank's to him and his team of professionals.

My first visit felt very rushed. Almost like I was a bother to Dr. Campbell. I thought I may have been to judgemental so I went to my follow up. I did not even get to see the doctor. My appointment was with the doctor however, I was seen by a NP. This is unacceptable if I make an appointment with a doctor I expect to see a doctor not a NP. I will not return.

After speaking with a few health care professionals at my gym, Dr. Campbell was the foot doc to see and I'm glad I listened. Dr. Campbell corrected my hammertoes with pins and used a minimally invasive approach for my bunion. I did not have any black/bruising and small incisions. Your foot will be swollen for a few months but it is SO worth it. Don’t plan on doing much the first few weeks after surgery and elevate your foot as much as you can. I have nothing but nice things to say about Dr. Campbell and his team. If you have a bunion or foot problems, stop suffering in ugly shoes and go see him!

I definitely recommend him for any foot surgery. He has a very warm disposition and genuinely takes the time to understand what is troubling you. He has a fantastic way of explaining the upcoming procedure and follow-up care. He also takes the time to educate you on different options so you can make the best informed decision for yourself.

Dr. Campbell provided excellent care before and after he reconstructed my foot. I am able to walk without pain. His staff is excellent, from ORTHONOW, his secretary, assistant and technicians. I cannot express how grateful I am. He built something specifically for the problem.

I had a Lis Franc fracture of my 2nd and 3rd metatarsals that was pretty severe. Dr. Campbell was recommended to me by several people. Where the fracture occurred (at the base) the bone had been obliterated into pieces, not leaving much to work with! Dr. Campbell absolutely worked a mini miracle on my foot! It required 2-3 plates and around 13 screws. I was told that recovery from this would be 12-18 months. Everything went so well, I was discharged after 10 months and my foot feels fantastic.

Dr. Campbell was recommended to me from an acquaintance. So glad I listened! Multiple injuries to left ankle, I had one surgery already while still active duty. Didn't have much hope, but after Dr. Campbell performed two surgeries- last one was OATS- and some good phys therapy- I am walking around better than I thought possible. Still some rehab but am able to hike and be physically active again. Gave me a new lease on life! Great bedside manner, very down to earth, thinks outside the box.

I broke both ankles from a fall on 12/4/16. From my first appointment and throughout the recovery process, I knew that I had an exemplary orthopedic surgeon. He was knowledgeable and reassuring that I would be able to make a full recovery. He went into complete detail with easy to understand explanations of what my operation would entail. I feel confident that he was the best surgeon for me. He and his staff are the reason why I have made a full recovery.

Dr. Campbell provided medical care for my broken leg. He is personable, knowledgeable and professional. I found him to be a real joy (and I know many physicians!). I could not have asked for a more competent health care provider. He assuaged my fears and concerns and was spot on with my prognosis and the time line for my healing. I am so glad that he is younger than I in that he has become my orthopaedic physician/surgeon for life. Thank you, Dr. Campbell. Mille grazie!
