I am thankful to Dr Burnstine! He is highly skilled and truly cares for his patients. My eyes were constantly tearing. I spent 5 years and was sent to many ophthalmologists who prescribed me steroids and ointments, claimed that I had dry eyes and prescribed me Restasis, but it would not work. A quick look into my health history and Dr Burnstine identified the cause of my lacrimal glands blockage; he performed successful surgery that cured the problem and left no scarring. Thank you Dr Burnstine!

An expert in his field with a great sense of humor. My mother had a puzzling eye condition for at least 2 years and was seen by two other Ophthamologist who performed various procedures with no success of fixing the problem. Dr. Burnstine was the only Ophthalmologist that accurately identified the issue and performed surgery to correct the problem. We finally had a successful outcome and value his expertise.

Due to an injury of my left upper eye lid I was referred to Dr. Burnstine at Eyesthetica in Pasadena. Burnstine convinced me that because I was in my sixties I would have a better outcome if I paid him $5,000. to do the upper and lower lids on both eyes. (in addition to the amount Medicare and my PPO paid him). I trusted in his expertise. On the day of the surgery he had another less skilled resident do the surgery. It required to painful revisions in the office. It is still a bad outcome.

      Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
