Dr. Burns is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic residency at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Burns specializes in knee, shoulder and hip conditions. He provides orthopedic care in the St. Louis, Clayton, O'Fallon and St. Charles areas. Dr. Burns has more than 25 years' experience in total knee and hip replacement, arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, and rotator cuff surgery. He is also board-certified in sports medicine, receiving sports medicine training at the Kerlan-Job Orthopedic Clinic. Dr. Burns has been on the medical staff of the United States Olympic Committee for than 20 years. During that time, he served as a team physician for the United States Olympic Team at the Summer Games in Beijing in 2008 and the Summer Games in Sydney, Australia, in 2000. He was also the head physician for the United States Winter Paralympic team at the 1998 Winter Paralympics in Nagano, Japan.
