Dr Burns, replaced both my knees. I am extremely pleased with his service . I am also very pleased with the service of his PA, they are both very easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Dr Burns.

I have known Dr. Burns since 1996 when I needed a hip replacement. He also did my other hip in 2004. I had an appointment recently to have both hips checked an they are both doing great. That's 21 years on the 1996 hip. Needless to say, Dr. Burns is an outstanding surgeon, I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Burns did a knee replacement for me. I have done remarkably well, mainly due to his great job of the surgery. I am well pleased and glad I listened to his advise and great work.

Dr. Burns replaced both of my mom's hips withinone year of each other. Both surgeries went very well, but after both hips were replaced, she was a new woman! She healed very quickly and thrived at physical therapy. Now, she spends 3 days a week at the Y keeping healthy and fit with the help of her 2 new hips. Dr. Burns is not only a great surgeon, he is also a very empathetic and compassionate doctor. My mom and I both felt like she was in the best of hands with Dr. Burns!

I saw Dr. Burns first in 2012 for minor surgery on my left knee. My knee pain got progressively worse again around the time I retired in 2014 and I kept putting off the inevitable surgery to replace it until January of 2017. My knee pain is 90-100% better than it was before the surgery. His & his staff's care & concern before & after surgery is why he is considered one of the best in his field. I would have no problem trusting him again or recommending him to anyone.

Dr. Burns replaced my right knee, relieving the extreme pain I was in. I'm so glad I decided to have the replacement done. Dr. Burns let me come to the decision that it was the right time.

Just the the doctor you want replacing your joints. He's confident and precise with people skills.
in Arnold, MO |
Dr. Burns and his staff were thorough and professional, answered my questions, and made sure I was fully prepared for my knee replacement surgery and recovery. Consequently, there were no surprises and recovery went smoothly. I recommend him highly.
I received excellent care from Dr. Burns, Joseph and their office staff. I would highly recommend this team to anyone needing knee replacement surgery.
in Millstadt, IL |
Dr Burns is a very caring Dr. I highly recommend him and his practice.
in St Charles, MO |
I have known Dr. Burns since the 1990's when I was taken to Mercy Hospital after a fall in my garage. He repaired my shoulder and broken ribs and I followed his directions for by following physical rehab to the letter. Since then as I have aged, I have had 2 knees replaced by him and care given to me for failing hips. He knowns what he is doing and he does not pressure you into care you are not ready for. He is a true professional.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Burns. He was willing to answer any and all questions. His answers were straightforward and to the point. He never talked down to me and made sure I understood everything he was saying. I also enjoy the fact he has an outgoing personality. His assistant, J.J. was also wonderful. Finally, at the end of the day the shoulder surgery he did worked perfectly. My shoulder is so much better today then before the procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Burns.

I saw Dr. Burns in 2012 for a ham string injury. Was spot on in treatment. Fully recovered with physical therapy. Saw him, again, for a knee issue. Chose to go conservative treatment first, along with physical therapy. Appreciate the more conservative approach. Always very nice. Staff was also very informative . Would definetly recommend.

Dr. Burns is friendly, professional and straightforward with his findings, diagnosis and treatment recommendatons.

I had a knee replacement 13 months ago, and have now recovered my life. I appreciate the way Dr. Burns didn't rush to propose surgery, suggested alternatives, alerted me to risks. Eventually, as I realized that delaying surgery would mean giving up most travel (my husband and I have children and grandchildren abroad), I chose to have the knee replaced. Afterwards, I had a first-rate PT and the determination to continue exercises at home. Dr. Burns gives thorough checkups, and he listens.

I would recommend Dr. Burns to my family and friends. He is a very good and friendly person and makes you feel good about being in his care. He keeps you up to date on your progress and treatment plans. He lets you know what you should be doing and how it will help in your recover. He is very nice and makes you feel comfortable about your exam and visit. Treats you like you want to be treated by your Doctor.

Good surgeon, but terrible interpersonal skills. This would be OK, but his office staff is terrible. They are rude and unfriendly.
in St. Charles |
Rude...abrupt..spends two minutes to assess your needs. Office staff not friendly

Dr. Burns performed hip replacement surgery on my right hip two years ago. I was amazed at what a wonderful job he did, and I was able to resume activities in five weeks without a walker or cane. I am pain free and so grateful to Dr. Burns. I have referred two friends to Dr. Burns and they agree he's the best!
