What People Say About Dr. Michael Burdi, MD

In each of my visits, Dr Burdi, was warm, compassionate, attentive and comprehensive. After visiting him for a year I elected to have an ACDF at C5-C6. The thought of neck surgery scared me and my family and Dr. B’s description of a Chip Shot procedure gave me a sense of calm. To think the day after surgery, I had no pain and just some minor throat discomfort, was amazing. The worst part of the surgery was the post op catheter removal, which isn’t fun for any guy. Thanks Dr B for eliminating my neck, shoulder and upper back pain!

Surgery is scary. Everyone goes in to it hoping to come out on the other side with great results. I was no different. In April I woke up on a Monday in excruciating pain. The pain was searing down my neck into my left arm and hand. It was so bad I could not catch my breath. I couldn’t hold my head up. I had no idea what was going on and I was terrified. Fast forward a few weeks. I had tried a non-surgical approach to dealing with my pain, but the injections did nothing. I knew surgery was my only choice. Fortunately for me I was referred to Dr. Michael Burdi. Dr. Burdi and his staff were completely professional and helped me navigate the process of getting ready for, and then recovering from my ACDF surgery. Dr. Burdi explained everything in a clear and concise way, and answered every question in a detailed manner. He was very up front about the recovery – which is long. I had surgery on a Monday, stayed overnight in the surgical center, and was home the next day. When I woke up in the

Dr. Burdi performed a bilateral L4-L5 micordiskectomy on me after severe low back & Sciatica pain. We tried PT & steroid injections without success. I'm happy with my results. Dr. Burdi has nice bedside manner & explains everything very well. He takes the time to talk to & answer any questions you may have. Tyler his PA is AWESOME! He too has excellent bedside manner, takes time to talk to you. They both ginuenly want the best outcome for you. The only negative is the wait time in that office. I'd make an appointment for the 1st one of the day (8:30 am) and I still had to wait over 1 hour. The office staff is OK. I'd recommend Dr. Burdi & Tyler to a family or friend. Just be prepared to WAIT, WAIT & WAIT some more at the office.

Dr. Burdi and Tyler (P.A.) did lower back surgery on me about 4 months ago. I had severe pain down my left leg which was cause by pinched nerves. I had confidence in Dr. Burdi because my general doctor, Dr. Pratt, recommended him and Dr. Burdi and Tyler were very clear about what I needed to have done. I was made aware of the exact procedure, recuperation time, what I was to expect. All my questions were answered directly and clearly. I would recommend Dr. Burdi and his staff to anyone suffering lower back pain and/or leg pain. The class I took on what to expect with back surgery, which was recommended by Dr. Burdi, was helpful too.

Dr. Burdi has about the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever seen (and that is not a small number). He is condescending, dismissive, and poorly equipped to actually provide any help to his patients. He seems to have poor understanding of connective tissue, and it’s relationship to the spine. I am not sure how he has been in practice as long as he has, but I would not recommend him to anyone. The only upshot to my experience was the community Orthopedic medical PT, as they were phenomenal.

I had severe lower back pain for four plus years. After many spinal injections and hours of therapy, it was suggested that I see Dr. Michael Burdi, a spine surgeon. Dr. Burdi, his staff, Tyler- PA, nurses, and office staff are all friendly, courteous and efficient. After discussing my back pain and plan, Dr. Burdi did the surgery on July 27, 2018. He did a lumber procedure. After several days in the hospital and 2 weeks in re-hab, I went home and have been pain free ever since. Dr. Burdi has x-rayed and checked my back every 3 months since, and will continue until July 2019. Everything has been perfect. My only regret is that I didn’t do this 4 years earlier! I would recommend Dr. Burdi without any question. Bobbie H. 04/19/2019

Dr. Burdi diagnosed me with disc compression and herniation at S1-L5 and at L4-L5. Additionally, I have extreme stenosis all of which caused severe nerve pain down both legs. After receiving injections in 5 locations, the nerve pain is gone and I am back riding my road bike, playing tennis and weight lifting without pain. Hopefully the injections last so no further surgical treatment is necessary. Dr. Burdi fully explained all procedures and gave me a roadmap for the future.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr Burdi, Tyler, Pat and the rest of his staff. I had L4/L5 fusion August 17, 2018 and I’ve had zero pain since my surgery. I would highly recommend Dr Burdi to perform surgery. If you’re afraid of surgery, don’t be you’ll be in great hands with Dr Burdi.

In 2002 I had a spinal fusion due to stenosis. It held up beautifully for 16 years. The pain then began again and continued to grow over the next two years until October 2018. The pain was very sharp and shot from my lower back down to my feet. It was like an electric shock that took my ability to walk away and my breath with it. Dr. Burdi and his assistant Tyler fixed the problem and ended the pain! He was kind, patient and competent as well as conservative (which I appreciated greatly).
