Dr. Benke is great. He’s very knowledgeable and knows exactly what needs to be done in order to fix you up. He performed my hip arthroscopy surgery after a laneral year caused from a car accident. I felt relief of tremendous pain I suffered with for 10 months. I would definitely go back if needed and most definitely recommend him!

From the one time I broke my foot to the few years later I had issues with my knee, Dr. Benke was caring and professional. He loves his job and it shows in his demeanor to his patients. I had to get my knee operated on and he was amazing. Highly recommend..

From the beginning, Dr. Benke was committed to helping resolve my shoulder pain. Even before ultimately having no other choice but to have surgery, he attempted everything in his power to avoid it. After deciding to have the surgery, he explained with detail how he would correct all the things wrong in my shoulder to prevent it from reoccurring. Highly recommend Dr. Benke and his staff. I highly doubt I’d go elsewhere.

I came to Active Orthopedic due to knee problems. Dr. BENKE was attentive to my complaints. Took xrays and determined my knees are gone on gone. He suggested I get Synisc-one injections. They worked for a short period. Dr. Banks recommended I see Dr John, his partner for a tor. Dr. Banker has a nice bedside manner, he's very kind and gentle. I am very pleased with this practice. Would recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Benke was kind and informative. He spoke to me in terms I could understand and welcomed my questions and concerns. I recently underwent rotator cuff surgery. The office is well run and Barbara could not be more helpful. My overall surgical experience with Active Orthopedics in Hackensack was excellent. I would highly recommend this group.

very professional . Everything was explained to me. All questions were answered. Prompt service.. By the way, the company that I work for built out the space that Active is in.

I saw Dr. Benke today for my shoulder pain. I had seen two other Doctors prior, but left feeling that I had annoyed both, just by being there. I ask very few questions, but it is nice when a professional respects me enough to answer them. Dr. Benke was recommended by a friend who told me that he was "different". I am here to say, that I wish every doctor was different, "exactly" the way he was. He was polite, and gave me a sound reason for my diagnosis. He is, in a word, incredible.

My review is about the office staff that overbooked this doctor. I had an appointment and was asked to arrive 15 minutes earlier to complete "New Patient" paperwork. Upon arrival at his Emerson office, I noticed the huge waiting room packed with patients. It resembled a clinic. After waiting over an hour, I was told there were three people still ahead of me. So I asked for my copay to be refunded and left. The office staff that a doctor chooses to hire "makes or brakes" his office.

I hurt my elbow and visited Urgent Care(MedEx). UC took xray and identified a minor chip fracture on the head of radius bone. They put a temporary casting until I visit an Ortho. I got an appointment with Dr.Benke 2 days after and gave them my xray. Dr.Benke said it is a common injury and no surgery, casting or medicine required and will get better automatically. The consultation was just 5 mins. I received a medical bill for $133- Physiscian and $390 - Surgery. Ridiculous! I will never visit.
