Contrary to some reviews on this site, I had an excellent first appointment today with Dr. Bell. I found him to be highly intelligent, knowledgeable and logical, as well as kind and patient with me. I am confident that I am in good hands to figure out why I am limping. I did not experience any rudeness or condescension from him, for sure.

Dr bell was very rude and uncaring. Wouldn’t listen to a word I said. Wrote in my chart in was all in my head but didn’t say it to my face. I ended up with myasthenia Gravis and in ICU. Thank God we have other doctors to go to and I survived.

We were referred to Dr Bell when our son was 9 years old. We suspected epilepsy in him from the many experiences we had observed. Dr Bell asked about three questions and immediately ruled out epilepsy. We then went on an 8 year journey and spent thousands of dollars on everything from heart, neck, spine, to Ortho to find a solution, before finally asking for a second opinion from another neurologist. The second neurologist found the epilepsy in three days and finally my son is getting help.

My Epileptic child saw Dr Bell in Aug, 2016. I couldn't write this until now. The reason is, he scared my child and I so much, that we are still PETRIFIED! I am an EPILEPTIC mom of an Epileptic/Autistic child. He was the ONLY Dr here. We now drive 4 hrs away. He said my child's' 11 yrs of Epilepsy never happened and ignored ALL Neuro records. I asked why. Yelling with anger, he said; "I NEVER SAID THAT, NOW YOU ARE PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH!" My child said, "Mommy please don't make me go back!!"

My 7 year old daughter has a seizure disorder and has been seen by him for the last 2 years, needless to say we have requested a transfer to Portland so she can actually receive good quality care. He has been unhelpful from the very beginning. Basically diagnosed and medicated and sent us on our way. He is very dismissive, rude, judgmental and clearly does not have the time or want to do his job anymore than he has too. My daughter is suffering and he continues to blow us off. Do not go see him!

Rude, judgmental and unprofessional. Clearly had an agenda prior to entering the room. Confrontational, inconsiderate and a bully. Did not allow me to finish a sentence or explain my symptoms. Outright misrepresentation of our encounter in his physician's note. I would suggest that anyone who sees this physician request a copy of the visit note and review it for accurate documentation of visit conversation and exam. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a physician ever.

Dr. Bell spent more than ample time with me examining and explaining my 3 conditions . He also talked about treatment options and a likely prognosis over time. I found it very easy to discuss things with Dr Bell. His interest in my condition(s) was greatly appreciated. I feel confident that over time we can handle these darn (politely put) things.

I have never had a doctor who was so willing to go the extra mile to find out what was causing my symptoms, and to help me. He has personally called me several times and came to visit me in the hospital, just knowing I was there. I highly recommend this doctor if you're looking for honest, involvement, competence and kindness.

I have seen neurologists in several states, and Dr. Bell was the least professional and least thorough of all. I was not able to complete a full thought without Dr. Bell taking a call which he answered in the room - repeating names and conditions of patients aloud - and then would skip to another question. His exam was incomplete and rushed. I had to request routine tests. He dismissed issues that are of great concern to me and made decisions about my treatment with this limited knowledge.
