When I walked into the clinic on a Saturday morning(what a great service that is for those of us that have difficulty taking time out of work) for my colonoscopy procedure, I was greeted by the staff at check in with a warm reception, taken back on time for the procedure and given a full explanation of what would occur by the nurse and the anesthesiologist. The experience was great! Dr. Battaglino is a very warm, kind physician and I would recommend this practice 100 percent!

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

Dr. Battaglino says...

Dr. Battaglino was born in upstate New York and remained in the Empire State for the majority of his education. After receiving his medical degree at New York Medical College, he completed his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in NY. Following his residency, Dr. Battaglino relocated to North Carolina to complete his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Duke University. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

He joined Raleigh Medical Group in July of 2000 and has since been an invaluable member of our Gastroenterology Team. He treats a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases, but has a more focused interest in inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Battaglino lives in Raleigh with his wife Tracy. He spends most of his free time enjoying activities involving his four children. His other joys in life include traveling, working out at the gym, keeping up with the Carolina Hurricanes and his rabid obsession with his precious Pittsburgh Steelers.
