I have been seeing Dr. Barber for a few years now and I am extremely satisfied with the way he takes care of me. He listens to me and values my opinion. The office visits typically take under 30 minutes which I am happy because I have a very busy schedule. He has helped me to manage my depression and anxiety

Dr. Barber is one of the first psychiatrists that really listened to me. He explained a scientific reason behind the issues I was experiencing with my meds, taking my input into account, and prescribed meds that have helped me tremendously. I have been level for about two years now, and I feel lucky to have found Dr. Barber. I noticed on other reviews here that people say he doesn't care. I truly believe he does care, but he can be a bit dry. He's a great doctor, just not warm and fuzzy.

My daughter was a patient of Dr. Barber and in the beginning we had no issues. Now it's been a nightmare because we've had issues getting her meds and at first I believed it was the insurance company that was the problem but Dr. Barber simply would not return the pharmacy's calls to verify the meds. His action was to have admitted back into the hospital so she would get her meds but once released the same thing would happen. A simple phone call could have prevented all of this.

Dr. Barber was my inpatient doctor at Cypress Creek Hospital. He barely talks. He never explained why he increased my dosages. He doesn't accept patient input, which is extremely odd considering his job. At the hospital, he avoided me on numerous occasions - not even meeting with me as he is paid to do. He failed to prescribe me my lithium for over a week, even though I urged him to. I did not sleep for nine days straight until it was prescribed to me. Do not hire this doctor: he doesn't care
Humble, TX |
I think it was awful. He had my medication dose per blood work at a 1/3 of what it should be. Also his staff was very incompetent couldn't call in to verify insurance.
