Dr Bagheri is a physician’s physician
As a long time patient of Dr Bagheri, he is a physician’s physician. A former neighbor of mine, working in OR, had told me that of all of the physicians, he requires the highest standards. Yet, as a person, #1 most lovable. By my observation, his office has benefited from zero staff turnover. Dr Bagheri has performed two separate procedures on my behalf, one of which was so new that the medical equipment’s rep was in attendance. No insurance company has expected me to have any longevity. Yet, recently, my primary physician said that my wife & myself are her only healthy patients— at age 83. In the trenches, I want it to be Dr Bagheri.

First meeting impressions
My husband met with Dr. Bagheri and had a very thoughtful, intelligent conversation about his recent history. Dr. Bagheri asked us none of the usual questions. We had provided an extensive questionnaire online, and the amazing thing was that the doctor had actually read it. I sat in on the meeting as my husband sometimes has memory issues to recent traumatic brain injuries. I was really surprised at how much time he took to discuss options for continued data gathering and considered alternatives for further action. We left feeling great about this new doctor. After covid, we had experienced terrible waits, inattentive staff and outright belligerence regarding wait time to get an appointment scheduled. Really, this was a feeling of a return to better times.

Fantastic attention to detail
I was new to Palm Springs a year ago and not in good health. I am so fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Bagheri, who immediately began to revise and adjust my numerous medications and I now feel alive again! I am so grateful for his attention to detail, and all of his staff who assisted me. Thank you!

In late June, I was struck with a rare cardiac event - Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. I’ve had a heart attack in the past and have a stent, so the logical assumption was a blockage. But this was different. I was in the hospital for ten days, and from the beginning, I was under the watchful care of Dr. Bagheri and an excellent team at Desert Regional. The course of action included 36 hours on a ventilator, numerous drips, and constant monitoring of my breathing and heart efficiency, which was drastically reduced to 10% by the Takotsubo. Due to Dr. Bagheri’s early diagnosis, which was key, his chosen course of treatment, and follow-up care, my heart has recovered and I am back to riding my bike in under two months. I am forever grateful to Dr. Bagheri for his straightforward approach and medical expertise which lead to my recovery.

I was being tested and seen by another cardiologist but I was not being treated. When my primary care physician told my husband in no uncertain terms to take me to the ER. It was there that I met Dr. Bagheri who literally saved my life. After nearly a month hospitalized and life saving surgery I changed cardiologists and see Dr Bagheri on a regular basis. If you want caring personalized medical care I recommend Dr. Bagheri.

BECAUSE OF MY INSURANCE, I HAVE LIMITED NUMBERS OF CARDIOLOGISS. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO A DOCTOR FOR YEARS AND HAD LITTLE CARE . I HAD MY PACE MAKER REPLACED BY HIM AND HAD NO INSTRUCTIONS AS TO FURTHER CARE. THIS IS WHEN I DECIDED TO GO TO DR. BAGHERI. WHAT A DIFFERECN IN FDARE THAT HE GIVES. I WOULD GIVE HIM SIX STARS IF THEY WERE AVAILABLE AND I FOUND HIS OFFICE STAFF VERY HELPFUL SO UNDERSTAND THE FEW BAD REMARKS THAT HAVE BEEN MADE. WAITING TIME AND COURTESIES WERE NOT AN ISSUE AND HIS OFFIFDE IS VERY CLEAN AND ORDERLY.

My husband has been to Dr Bagheri twice since becoming his doctor last December 2019. Our first visit was at 3:00 pm and we did not get out of his office till after 5:30 pm. This is unexcusable to wait this long to see a doctor for a short visit. His staff is rude and do not apologize to patients for waiting so long to see the doctor. We decided to go for another visit which happened this Thursday, Aug 27 as he was having an ultrasound on his cartoid artery. The ultrasound went off on time and over by 3 PM. By 4:30 the doctor was still not available at which time my husband got up and walked out. WE WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS DOCTOR!!

A Dr is only as good as their staff. No matter how caring he is. This Dr has a inefficient staff. It’s taking me 3 months to get an appointment. Which is not acceptable. Dr Bagheri needs to hire a new staff that might be as caring as him.

Dr. Bagheri is an excellent and caring physician, but his staff is sadly inefficient. I called 5 times trying to get blood test results. Each time I was told the doctor would call me back, but I never received a call. On the final call the receptionist said the doctor never calls patients and she read me the results. Why was I told 5 times that he would call back? It took an entire month to finally get the results from these office workers, very unprofessional.

I had a heart monitor device implanted by Dr. Bagheri as the result of him recommending I do so. When I had concerns and questions about on going serious symptoms I contacted Dr. Bagheri's office and requested that he call me to discuss them. He never returned my calls. As a direct result of my continuous symptoms I requested that an appointment scheduled 6-7 weeks away be moved up to address my concerns and I was told that Dr. Bagheri would not do this. I feel let down.

Office personel hardly ever answer the phone. It goes to the Answering service and they tell you to call back. It is very annoying when you cannot get through to your Doctors office. Go to Dr Gundry! I finally got through...called 3 times in one week because of blackouts after starting Repatha, never got a call back! Poor Office Personnel!

A smart, current and pleasant physician. He recognized afib when another doctor turned me away. He helped me get conditions under control and stay that way. Just learned he is moving to palm springs and starting own practice. He will be successful and on cutting edge of cardiovascular care no doubt. Thanks for great care Doctor B

Poor overall doctor and staff. He is knowledgeable, but lacks follow through and appears to be in a hurry to get to his next overbooked patient visit. He shows little care or consideration for his patients. On at least three occasions, he arrived over 1.5 hours late for our scheduled appointment. He and his assistant rarely returns phone calls, even when they assure you that they will call back. During my last visit, he didn't even bother to advise me that he was leaving Desert Heart. Unprofess.

Dr. Bagheri is a star. He is busy, but generous with his time once you get through the office gatekeepers. He led me through a year of invasive procedures that ended up with a pace maker. But I am again healthy, active and grateful for his insights and medical skills. I am rating my doctor, not necessarily the office administration.

Loved Dr. Bagheri, he is warm, kind and explains everything. I never felt like I asked a dumb question. I couldn't have asked for a better Cardiologist. I had a stent placed and had an angiogram.

I will recommend Dr.Bagheri to everyone! His educated decision to implant a pace maker in my 90 year old heart has given me new life, comfort & a chance to experience more life without worry. He really cares. He returns calls which is rare these days. I know I can depend onhim making the right decisions for me and my family.
