Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Amini "Though people rarely need an Orthopaedic Surgeon for matters of life-and-death, they need one for matters that affect our quality-of-life. Pain and lack of function significantly impact a person's ability to work, do hobbies, play sports, or even sleep without pain. I feel fortunate to have the best job because I get to help people get back to doing what they love to do in life.

I treat people with sprains/strains, tears, breaks, and arthritis of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. I believe in exhausting other treatments before offering surgery. I strive to get to know every patient on a personal level, which helps me individualize treatment. A focused rehab and therapy program that is tailored to each individual's needs is crucial to the success of any treatment, surgical or not. Regardless if you want to throw a baseball over 90 miles per hour or just raise your arm above your head without pain, every person deserves the same level of care that is custom-fit for his or her needs."

Collarbone in five pieces and concussion. Dr. Amini gave up his Memorial Day plans to do surgery when the OR was nearly shut down for the holiday. A metal plate holds the bone together & at 6 weeks, it's like the accident didn't happen. SW Orthosurgery is professional. Little waiting and the PA is wonderful. I had one question and they replied in less than 24 hrs. Note that Dr. Amini did a stint at Cleveland Clinic. They're world renown and you have to be super to get in there.

Dr. Amini is extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and answers every question I had... regardless of the time it took. Even when the waiting room was full, I never waited past my appointment time to be seen. His staff is friendly and genuinely happy to be working together and it shows in their patient interactions. I have had specialists in Tucson in the same discipline as Dr. Amini and none compare. Even though being sick and injured really stinks, I ended up in with amazing care.

Dr Amini performed an emergency hip replacement on me after a fall. He answered my questions patiently, he performed the surgery with the highest level of skill, and my recovery has been excellent. He inspires a great deal of trust and I feel blessed that he was available when I needed his help.

After filling out 9 pages of questionaire, I waited 45 minutes (and I had been a customer of his practice before). Only one other person was waiting, and I received no explanation for the delay. Since 45 minutes is my limit for doctors' offices (and a good rule of thumb for how well MDs budget their time), I walked out. I'll never know if he's the finest orthopod in town.

Dr Amini made me feel like he had all the time in the world to listen to what was wrong. I did not feel rushed as I have with other doctors. He explained everything and answered all my questions. The people who answer the phones, however, I would rate in negative stars if I could. When I call I am immediately asked if I can hold and am then put on hold without having a chance to respond. I have NEVER been taken off hold. I wait, then eventually hang up and call again. Train or replace them.

Extremely knowledgeable and recommended conservative treatment vs. surgery. This has proved very effective.

Dr Amini is a competent, highly professional and caring physician. Dr. Amini and his staff provided an outstanding experience for me,from initial diagnosis of a serious elbow dislocation , broken bone, and torn ligaments to completion of a 3 hour surgery. I am currently rehabbing under his guidance and continue to be impressed with Dr Amini's caring, concern and professional manner. I can only recommend Dr Amini at the highest level-for his medical competence and caring manner.

Was able to see Dr. Amini and his staff within a week re chronic leg pain. Dr. Amini, his PA, Juan and other staff spent quite a bit of time x raying and diagnosing my problem that had caused months of sleepless nights. Two perfectly placed cortisone shots and I was able to experience the first full, pain free night of sleep in months. I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr Amini. We were impressed with the time he spent, his warm concern and accurate diagnosis.
