Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Kwaku "As an endocrinologist, Dr. Kwaku specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hormone related disorders such as diabetes, thyroid, adrenal and pituitary diseases. To ensure the most complete care possible, Dr. Kwaku utilizes a team approach to health management, incorporating the services of other specialists and healthcare professionals. In his own practice, he focuses on patient education.

"My approach is to provide as much information as possible to patients so they can control their disease and assist in their own health management. Diabetes is a lifelong, 24-hour-a-day disease. You only see a doctor once every three months. You have to know enough about the disease so that you can do things for yourself between doctor visits. I am dedicated to patient care, and my goal is to help my patients live normal lives in spite of their diseases. I work together with patients to help them achieve successful and satisfactory health goals.""

What People Say About Dr. Maxwell Kwaku, MD

I have a pituitary tumor and was told I was overreacting and that it was "nothing" despite my thyroid levels being off, tremors, dry skin, tachycardia, palpitations, etc. ...Read More

I don't know where to begin.. He's a know-it-all who rushes you and makes you feel like you're an inch tall. He clearly does NOT understand how the thyroid functions. He's arrogant, rushes through and makes you feel like you're wasting his time. Highly recommended to look elsewhere. His staff is...Read More

I would like to actually give 0 stars. He is arrogant and will rush everything. I didn't like him afte my first visit but was willing to give another chance. On my second visit he would not discuss any of my problems just whatever he wanted (for those 3 mins) then he was on the phone with me...Read More

Someone told me Dr. Kwaki had some negative reviews on this or another site and I was surprised. I saw him for a thyroid issue earlier this year. My endocrinologist had recommended him when he retired and then my internist also suggested him. I had a wonderful experience and thought he was...Read More

He is arrogant and has a terrible bedside manner. Beware if you disagree with him in any way. He will become very hateful and refuse to help you.
