Dr. Steuer's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Steuer "Dr. Max Steuer grew up in Athens, Georgia before going to Cambridge, Massachusetts to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree at Harvard College. After Harvard, he focused on surgery at one of the leading medical schools and training centers in the world, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He attended medical school, served his internship and completed a neurosurgery residency before he returned to his home state of Georgia and joined Polaris Spine & Neurosurgery in 1991. Staying abreast of the latest neurosurgical techniques, Dr. Steuer has been instrumental in introducing new surgical technologies, including stereotactic radiosurgery, to the Atlanta, Georgia medical community. In 1993, Dr. Steuer earned his neurosurgery board certification by passing the American Board of Neurological Surgery exams. He has served as the Chief of Surgery of Northside Hospital Atlanta. He was the first in Atlanta to use broad intraoperative CT scan for lumbar surgery and the first in Georgia to employ stereotactic navigation for spine surgery. Dr. Steuer and his wife, Lisa, enjoy traveling with their three children. Hobbies include reading, canoeing and hiking."

Dr Steuer discovered my Mom's problem in just 15 minutes after she had been seeing other doctors for 10 months. His diagnosis was what my Mom needed to start feeling better. Not sure we would have ever gotten to the bottom of her issue had we not seen Dr. Steuer.
