Dr. Max J. Glaser has been a board certified, practicing Nephrologist since 1995. In 2002, Dr. Glaser completed additional training to begin performing interventional nephrology procedures. In 2006, Dr. Glaser's vision of an office-based interventional nephrology suite was realized. As the suite's primary interventionalist, he devotes a major part of his professional time to interventional procedure work; performing over 600 procedures annually.

The array of interventions able to be performed safely in an office-based access setting include:

  • Percutaneous thrombectomy of AV fistulas and grafts.
  • Fistulogram, angioplasty, stenting of dysfunctional AV accesses
  • Coil collateral vein ligation for AV accesses
  • Tunneled and non tunneled hemodialysis catheter placement, removal, repair and over-the-wire exchanges
  • Fibrin sheath disruption for poorly functional hemodialysis catheters
  • Peritoneal dialysis catheter insertion
  • Subcutaneous port placement and removal

As the practice s primary interventionalist, he devotes a major part of his professional time to interventional procedure work performing over 450 procedures annually. Dr. Glaser is a committed and caring nephrologist with a one-on-one style, interacting and really listening to his patient s concerns. Their comfort and welfare are his top priority. Dr. Glaser and his family reside in Overland Park, Kansas.
