Dr. Syamal, is a Board Certified, Fellowship-trained Laryngologist. She graduated with Distinction from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. While at Duke, Dr. Syamal found time to teach computer programming to undergraduates as well as middle school science. She then went on to earn her Masters in Engineering at the University of Michigan and even worked as a Global Project Engineer for General Motors Corporation. Following this, she began working and auditioning as a professional actress and singer in New York before going to earn her medical doctorate and complete her surgical training. Her unique patient-centered approach both in the office and the operating room combines her diverse interests for the arts, the sciences, and teaching.

I am methodical and proceed in a step-wise fashion. I believe that there is always something that I can do for my patients!
