I had open heart surgery--valve and aorta replacement. Dr. Garrido and his staff provided first-rate surgical care. Also, doctor and staff very accessible, both pre- and post-surgery, straightforward answers to all questions. My highest recommendation.

There are not enough accolades I can provide to Dr. Garrido and his staff. Dr. Garrido took the time to answer all of our questions and provide comfort when comfort was needed. He is quick to praise his staff (who are well-worthy of that praise) and make things as least stressful as possible. Even dealing with insurance red tape was handled with incredible efficiency (they completed a form literally while I waited). Dr. Garrido and his staff are true difference makers in this world.

In early 2018, I was walking our dog when I had what I thought was a heart attack. It turned out to be more serious--I had a Type A Aortic Dissection. It is not an exaggeration to say my end was near but Dr. Garrido and his team stood in death's way. He performed hours of intense surgery to repair the dissection and then a second surgery to stop a bleed. I found him to be a humble genius, using a team approach to healing. A fellow doctor explained it well saying, "Garrido walks on water."

Dr. Garrido is excellent, had my surgery back in February of 2015, had a lot of fear thinking oh well I lived a good life in my head, also had a lot of concerns over whether I did everything to take care of my family if I died. Of course I massed it with humor. Dr. Garrido called me the day before surgery at home and that call put me at ease, that's when I knew I had a great surgeon. Thanks Dr Garrido for a 2nd chance at life??

He did valve replacement on my father in law. He did excellent work and has a great bedside manner. Also, his secretary who was giving us updates during the surgery was wonderful as well.

Dr. Garrido performed a surgery to my left lung, to remove a very large 'pneumonocele'...basically, a fluid and air-filled growth on the lining of the lung, which impedes function of lung, and poses threat of death in certain circumstances. His kind manner and clarity of explanation of my situation, before and after surgery, were wonderful. I felt completely assured of his expertise, and was duly justified in this opinion, as evidenced by my recovery and subsequent care. He saved my life! : )
