Subsequently, he completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (Parkland Hospital) in Dallas. After practicing Internal Medicine in Austin, Dr. Stahlman completed a fellowship in general cardiology followed by a fellowship in interventional cardiology, both at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
