Excellent Orthopedic Surgeon!
Had a brief visit with Dr. Matt Russo to check on left hip pain. Took me a long time to get an appointment as he is very busy (over a month). In the past, he did a total right hip replacement for me (2 1/2 yrs. ago) which was very successful and an easy recovery). This visit began with X-rays and a discussion with Dr. Russo about my diagnosis. He proposed physical therapy for arthritic and other pain, which was a good remedy at this juncture! Dr. Russo is an excellent physician and very easy to engage in conversation! Highly recommended!

From walking through the door until leaving, I could not have been happier. I was very impressed with the staff and particularly with Dr. M Russo. He knew what he was doing and made me very confident with him and suggested going to SMIL for the necessary shot for my hip and it worked!! He won't lose me as a patient!!

Dr. Russo is the best !!!
Words can't express how I feel about Dr. Russo. He did my hip back in 2018 and it went perfectly. I did not even have to take pain medicine. Was up and walking in no time. Today it feels like I never had the surgery. The care I got was wonderful and his staff is great. He is doing my total knee replacement this coming October and I am not worried one bit. Ten stars for Dr. Russo !!!!

Remarkable Physician
Dr. Russo is truly a wonderful physician. His review of my hip issues was extremely thorough, deliberate, and resulted in me developing a clear understanding of what my options were for achieving pain relief. Each question I asked was answered carefully and completely. He was very patient, unhurried and understanding of the pain and anxiety that I had been dealing with for many months. His approach was exceptionally friendly, confidence-building, and he gave me his total focus during my visit. His ability to explain complex medical matters related to my hip pain in a fashion that was easy to understand really helped me feel positive that a solution was reachable. His staff was excellent, professional and very welcoming. I highly that anyone needing Orthopedic surgery or consultation make an appointment with Dr. Russo.

Outstanding Experience
I recently underwent hip replacement surgery performed by Dr. Matthew Russo. The entire experience was outstanding. My procedure used the anterior (from the front) approach in which Dr. Russo specializes. He explained the surgery thoroughly beforehand and provided detailed information about how to prepare and recover. I had very little post-surgical pain (requiring no narcotic pain medication) and while the recovery is a process, my post surgery office visits guided me as to my progress and what to expect. Now some six weeks after surgery I am very nearly fully recovered. Dr. Russo is an exceptional surgeon and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Matt Russo was the best Dr. . Two weeks after my surgery, I was walking without my walker, and hardly using my cane! So excited that my hip was finally working without pain! Very personable and caring, would highly recommend him!

In September of 2021, Dr. Matthew Russo performed outpatient surgery replacing my right hip. In December fo 2021, Dr. Matthew performed outpatient surgery replacing my left hip. I had arthritis in both my hips that made it painful to walk, difficult to put on and tie my shoes and a challenge to play golf. I am today six weeks after my second hip replacement surgery. I am walking up to 5 miles per day with no pain. Presently, the medical instructions are just to chip and putt with golf - wait 12 weeks for the full golf swing. I can put my shoes on and tie them. Today, I returned to the swimming pool - swam laps and enjoyed water aerobics. Also, now I can sit cross-legged when I do yoga - before surgery I could not sit cross-legged. Dr. Russo prepared a Guide to Success booklet which provides lots of information about preparation, surgery and recovery - great booklet.
