As an orthopedic surgeon, I strive to educate my patients on their health and injuries, so that they may be an active participant in their care. It is also my goal to apply surgery only when absolutely necessary, trying always to treat in the most conservative and least invasive manner.
Dr. Rogell joined Connecticut Family Orthopedics in 2006. Dr. Rogell is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine with expertise in knee and shoulder arthroscopy. Dr. Rogell completed his surgical internship at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland, his orthopedic surgical residency at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, New York, and St. Vincent's Medical Center, Valhalla, New York City. He did a sports medicine fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital. Dr. Rogell performs surgery of the knee including ligament reconstruction, cartilage repair and joint replacement. He also performs surgery of the shoulder including tendon repairs and joint replacement, and he also performs hip replacement surgery. He also does PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections and other conservative treatments. Dr. Rogell 's previous professional associations include the New York Rangers (NHL), Baltimore Ravens (NFL), Baltimore Blast (Major Indoor Soccer League), Junior Olympics and various college and high school teams. Dr. Rogell is board certified and a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedics Surgeons, a member in good standing of the American Medical Association, the American Orthopedics Society for Sports Medicine , the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American College of Sports Medicine.
