When your loved one is in the ER and open heart surgery is recommended, your choices in a cardiac surgeon may seem limited. I was unable to be at my loved one's side during this decision, and Dr Matthew Powers did the surgery. The outcome was poor. A mistake was made. Dr Powers skill level under pressure is questionable. Research your options before choosing him! My loved one died from complications and this "review" is my only recourse to warn others.

Thank you cannot begin to say how grateful I am that Dr Powers saved my wife of 54 years. She just wasn't feeling well so I brought her to the hospital and they found she had a bad heart attack. Dr Powers was so kind with his time and explained everything so well. Surgery went perfect and I have my best friend back at home. Thank you!

My cardiologist said I needed heart surgery and sent me to Dr. Mathew Powers. Dr. Powers explained very clearly the complexities of mitral valve repair surgery. He answered all my questions thoughtfully and with respect. I researched everything I could on the internet and was surprised and relieved how up to date he was with his information and techniques. My repair surgery was 100% successful and will add many years to my life. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. Thank you Dr. Powers!
