Dr. Kopplin is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the AAOS and AAHKS, the sub-specialty society of hip and knee replacement surgeons. He also holds a certificate of qualification in sports medicine from the ABOS. His practice is sub-specialized in hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr. Kopplin has trained at Rice University (engineering), the University of Texas Southwestern (medical degree), and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was in practice for 14 years in Billings, Montana, where he led the physician efforts to certify as a Center of Excellence in Joint Replacement by the Joint Commission on Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
