I am one of very few double board certified Urologists in Female Pelvic Medicine in Arizona, and the only one fellowship trained in the subspecialty AND board certified in this area of practice in the East Valley. A good part of my practice is correction of complications from vaginal surgery/injury from prior surgeries. Implantation of mesh for incontinence and prolapse correction should only be done by those with expertise. To date, I have done more than 2000 pelvic floor surgeries and reconstructions. I review cases for the Arizona Medical Board regarding Urology and Urogynecology, and perform medico-legal expert case review nationwide for attorneys, involving pelvic mesh complications, as well as other pelvic surgery injuries, or injuries to the male and female genital tract. No one physician is perfect, but when choosing a physician, always consider his/her credentials, reputation, and training, experience, and bedside manner. And if that's not enough, consider trusting a physician who is trusted by attorneys. My office hours can run long and I am often running late, but that means I am spending the necessary time with all my patients, including with you. Our office phone system was truly a disaster in early 2016, but as of now (October 2016), we have an updated system to triage phone calls, messages, appointments, xray and surgery scheduling, and messages from patients that I need to review. When you call please ask for Pilar or Casandra who are my personal medical assistants to help.
